About islands

Islands are so beautiful ! The trip can be long but it’s worth it. I rented a quad in Paros, and I took a ferry to Antiparos which was completely deserted, this was an incredible experience! I also visited the island of Poros which is closer to Athens main port Piraeus, and it was really charming.
As for the islands, I visited a few of them, preferring the less touristy ones. (-Santorini – Mykonos) For those I visited : - Aegina : Nearest Island from Athens (1h30 from Piraeus). Although Aris wouldn't recommend it, If you want to enjoy quad biking and sunbathing on the many beaches, Aegina is a good compromise. - Paros : Good island for food, beautiful lands, nice beaches (a bit expensive for few things such as accommodation) If you’re looking to rent a car or atv : https://best-paros-rentals.com/ - Naxos : My best island so far, pretty identical to Paros but with lower prices and less tourists! - Zakynthos : Big island with few good beaches but we did come across plenty of jellyfish in the water during our trip. Must do : Navagio (Shipwreck beach)
It is best to visit the islands in September/October or April/May when the tourist season is peak.
I visited Santorini in November, and it was absolutely stunning. The city was nearly empty, making it a calm and peaceful experience. I went to Oia (the most beautiful town), Fira, the Red Beach (amazing, but watch your step!), the Black Beach, and the Akrotiri Lighthouse, which offers a breathtaking view. You must try the kebab at Metaxi Mas restaurant - everything was incredibly tasty!
