Introduction
ZB113 is just a laboratory room in the building Z of the University of West Attica, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, at the campus of Ancient Olive Trees (Archaios Elaionas) aka Campus 2. In the past it used to be a laboratory for teaching electronics, but nowdays it offers the department's mobility students to work and study, and feel comfortable having some private space. The lab faces to the East, with a view to Acropolis and Imitos mountain.
Behind the idea was Prof. Savvas Vassiliadis, who wanted to achieve two goals. Firstly to dedicate some space to carry out studies and research with the mobility students of the department, and secondly to make the students feel comfortable during their staying in the University campus, having some private spase for their belongings like bags, laptops etc.
Research in ZB113 has been applied on various subjects which combine textiles and electronics. Textile antennas, textile NFC, textiles or yarns conductivity and resistivity, piezoelectricity, triboelectricity etc. In cases that extensive and significant research has been achieved, publications are made with the participating students.
Upon their arrival, the incoming students are divided in 3-4 different working groups, with different supervisors, ans they focus on different topics.
This website is the result of the contribution of past students from ENSAIT (or other) to new coming ones. Thanks to that, we all wish to help your staying, so that it will be smooth in adapting, rich in experiences and finally succesfull and productive in your study projects.
